Helping youth enjoy active summer
Supervised multiple bodies simultaneously by quickly but effectively scanning the scene to ensure the safety of all swimmers. Exercised authority around the waterfront to keep participants safe by prohibiting dangerous behaviors. Managed all 80 lifeguards, counselors, and youth in the area.

A real great place to work, above all in the IT department
Decathlon is really a great place to work. People is open minded and you car organise your work as you want. your boss is your coach and his/her mission is to help you to give your best. You can be yourself and be sure that you will be protected. of course, you have lot of responsibility but you can manage your job as you want.
Proswork, confidence, security, sport, open mind, friendly environement
Consdecathlon corporate culture is very strong. Sometimes difficult to disconnect.

Supportive and active work environment. High energy and friendly employees.
I loved working at Decathlon Sports Club. I attended the camp as a child so being able to work as a counselor and continue it's traditions and community impact was amazing. I felt extremely close to my coworkers and the work itself was hard but rewarding.
ProsAmazing group of people and environment.
ConsOnly lunch break, low pay per hour.

Fun environment albeit having intangible goals/expectations
Generally you start off organizing the products that are either misplaced or a little bit toppled over. Once or twice a week Bacs (or bins) arrive from São Paulo with new stock to replace out of sale products or new items that have just been introduced to the store. Decathlon is known to be mostly self-service in its nature although in Brazil, due to cultural differences, it is the opposite. The environment is more or less friendly and there was a sense of accomplishment when you were able to help. Dealing with people is more difficult than it seems and it takes time to get used to reacting appropriately to each request made by a customer.
ProsFriendly environment and Product diversity
ConsShort term mentality of the managers, no clear objectives and goals, no commissions
