Like working with therapy dog and training foster dogs
I like working with dogs and helping train, walk and interact with people. I can clean ears, brush, check for bugs, rashes, etc as could have affect on health. I believe that interaction with dogs helps the children at the school in a positive way , as love without judging, cuddling and petting seems to calm and make happy to interact.. The hardest part of the job is having to leave dogs at night as fosters love to be with you and cry when leave. Not able to interact with children as much as wish. The workplace culture is harder than most as children have different behavioral problems from Autism to violent behaviors. The typical day at work is usually just with therapy dog feed, walk and tend to her needs, loves ear rubs . I'm only part time so teacher and students interact with during day and I take care of at night and vacation periods and holidays.

I thought the group home where I worked was cliquish and management dohonest
It’s sucked really bad. I (a man) was alone to bathe and care for FIVE women who could but do anything for themselves. I’ve never bathed anything adult let alone a screaming and hitting woman. I complained and management did nothing. I stopped going to work.

It's a great entry level position
So far there seems to be a glass ceiling as it relates to advancement within the company. They tell new hires that they're allowed to advance within the company in three months once they pass their probation period, however, I've found that to be untrue. The best part of this position is my direct supervisor and my team.

Low pay for experience
Company is an all women management team. They seem to not care much for men. They pay very low for all the tasks you are required to perform. Hard place to keep management happy.

Very conducive working community
This company has a very conducive working environment. The culture is such that everyone knows everyone by name and always willing to help when you need one.

Good Place
If you enjoy working with troubled youth this is a great job for you. The management is nice and very welcoming. It can be stressful at times due to the dynamic of the children but if you want to make a difference this is a good pick.

horrible to their staff
The company it self does great things. The way you are treated as staff is bad. They will replace you without a blink. They do not take the time to train you or seem to care about your success there.

Terrible place to work
They wouldn't reimburse you for gas when driving clients around. They had a great opportunity to work overtime. They would hire you as part time, so no benefits could be provided.
