Fun but overworked
I really did love the job which is why I stayed so long. But every store was so understaffed so it put it all on me. Which I didnt mind at all, I was just not appreciated or compensated for it.
ProsThe customers got me through the day, as well as the coffee making/sandwhiches.
ConsI would work overtime (60 hrs a week) on salary and never got the extrra compensation. Also, we were very short staffed so a lot of the times I would bake donuts, open at 5 am, then go home for a few hours and close til 8. It was just too exhausting without the pay.

Fun place to work at
It's fun working at Dunkin' only because you always have your daily customers who make your day better or those who can make it worse but you always have a good time with your coworkers. Very easy job, it takes time to learn but you will get the hang of it.
ProsNever clock out for lunch
Consshort breaks

Good for first job, not for grown ups
I've so far worked at dunkin for 2 years. Its a relatively okay job but management can be very petty and unorganized. Very rough if you're looking for a night shoft job because they work you to the bone with no extra night differential.
ProsFree lunch, good coworkers
ConsShort breaks, poor management

Nice place to work
Depending on the franchisee, the location could be a nice place to work. The upper management offers training to help the managers progress and improve sales and employee retention.
ProsPaid vacations, some benefits, some advancement
Consloss of family time

great place to work but...
All of the employees were great. and the job wasn't hard. only issue was sometimes you'll get rude people in the mornings but they hadn't had their coffee yet so not much you can do about it.

if you put the work in, you are compensated fairly
its a tough job, but with grit and dedication, it can be rewarding. More often than not, managers and franchisees are often willing to bend over backwards to ensure that valued employees are happy inside and outside of work.

It was a good job.
I liked the style of the chain and the friendly enviorment. I made friends with my coworkers and got along with everyone. Since I was still in the food industry, there were a lot of customers who were rude but that just comes with the job.

I had two interviews at different stores. The first one Wasn’t a typical interview. very quick, no stupid questions. It was just tell me about your yourself, what’s your availability, do you have transportation, & what experience do you have with working a cash register & drive thru. Less an 5 min long for the whole interview. Got a call a couple days later to do a drug test, which I was surprised about. The other location was a little more thorough, but more about the job itself. No typical interview questions, but more about your experience. That location I got a call a couple days later asking if I could start the following week. No drug test at that store.

How would you describe the pace of work at Dunkin' Donuts?
Asked Oct 26, 2016
Very fast paced environment where I work. Dunkin is one of the most loved places in this area. If you are highly motivated and can multitask you can advance rather quickly. I went from crew member to assistant manager position in only 4 months. But if you get stressed out easily and don't like customer service then it's not the job for you. I have made friends with some very important and interesting people because people take their coffee seriously and if you can make it right for them they will remember you and tip you well.

Ok some of the customers get upset about not having the type of donuts the want at the time. I explain the baking process to them and then sometime they understand.

What advice would you give the CEO of Dunkin' Donuts about how to improve it?
Asked Nov 18, 2016
I would ask him to have his company be more detailed orientated by listening more attentively. The customer, then employees and managers. Institute a whole new training program geared towards customer satisfaction based on market feedback. I also would like to see senior, military, aarp member discountes etc. Volume and quality with attention to details is a great place to evaluate.

I was working at the Dubois Dunkin for almost 2 yrs.during this time I went from a crew member,to shift lead to ASST Manager to general manager with in 9 months now yes I have worked for many Dunkin in over 16:yrs and never have I ever seen one ran like this one ..there was so much favoritism between the district manager and avcrew member it was out of hand, well my DM never trained me properly,he gave me about 2 he's of training, well I begged him n still nothing,I said I would train on my time and still nothing. 6 months went by n yes I did bring alotvof positive to the store but it still wasn't enough.i took a little longer comprehending everything then a reg trained employee due to my learning disability. Our Dam still did nothing except tell me he would put his fav in charge me back as ASST Manager , n said if I didn't step down I could get fired.. is he for real??? Well I did step down n no sooner did tlhis fav take over n push me asid n never treated me like his
