FIS is a good place to work.
I learned a lot in FIS. Due to reduction in the workforce I was laid off or I would still be there. Medical could be better no cost of living compensation. Raises were small.

productive
performance reviews aren't nearly as effective as they could be. Let me explain. Fast Company reports that 74% of younger workers walk out of performance reviews UNSURE of what their managers actually think of their performance. Because those reviews lack good performance evaluation comments. This mirrors the fact that, according to our own research 79% of employees don't think their organization's review process is all that good to begin with. No matter how good your performance reviews are, you could almost certainly do better. If you want more inspiration these performance review examples are based off the boo

Unstable
The company is constantly acquiring smaller companies, therefore, roles and job security are a constant point of stress, especially in Michigan. And lastly, be prepared for the constant worry that your role will be outsourced to India.

Great place to work for work \ home balance
Great place at to if looking for balance between home and work duties as well as career building. Training available online but must be self motivated and accountable working from home.

Ok place to work
was a good place to work but need to be careful and watch yourself they will tell you one thing but then actually do another. Like the CEO came to Chicago and said he doesn't believe in laying off folks he will do something else or renovate But at the end of the day saw all my coworks get laid off we had 6 rounds of layoffs. but other than if you survived it, its a nice place to work

Job stability was a major Factor and they relocated our Division out of stayr
I am unable to get another position yet. I was there for almost seven years and good at my job so I should be able to get a different position if available.

Pays extremely well, includes lots of paid time off
It's a good company but if you're looking for a job with a good life/work balance, this isn't it. Customer service jobs have 10 mandatory hours every single week. I started in July and can't recall a week I didn't have overtime. A lot of favoritism, but that's all call centers it seems. I work from 8am to 9pm and you are most definitely going to have to come in on your day off, on top of that. The department I'm in only gives you 30 minutes lunches. The management is a joke, and the supervisor I have currently is only where she is because she was best friends with the call center manager since high school. All they do is sit in her office and talk all day, they don't help with calls, they don't respond to you if you need anything, it feels like you're in high school when you approach them because you know when you walk away they're going to sit there and gossip about you. Oh also they don't do overtime so expect to bust your butt with no help from them. It's a job at the end of the day but I'm miserable and so are most people that work here.. Just be careful. Nothing is fair with them

Decent place to work.
Can be very advantageous, but the culture is dwindling quickly. A lot of reorganization and confusion from upper management. Lots of technologies used and could be a great starting point.

Productive Place to Work
While i did enjoy my time at FIS, the work from home option is what sold me.. they decide to take this option away which was the main perk in keeping this position..

How are the working hours at FIS Global?
Asked Jul 6, 2016
Terrible if you have kids and a life. Mandatory OT every week. Sometimes no off days. You never get a full weekend off unless requested and approved!
Answered Mar 27, 2019
Horrible. Expected to work unreasonable hours with substandard pay in most areas unless you are upper management of course.

How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at FIS Global? What are the steps along the way?
Asked Jun 17, 2016
I was notified with a few days (offer letter email) of interview, 2 days later email for background, and benefits have to be filled out and returned, within 24hrs email for drug screening and additional background which will take 24 to72 hrs to complete. So over all the process is about 1 to 2 weeks if in compliance of what they ask.

About a month but you can be laid off or fired in less than 5 minutes
