Great place to work!
Very great place to work. Was able to work my way up from working in the Kid's Club to being the General Manager over one of the facilities. I have been with the company for a little over 11 years and would continue with the company if my location was not closing down.

The managers were not professional and the gym was run poorly. The staff was always looking for people to work there was evident favoritism and lots of gossip behind the scenes

The Gym is Great, the company is shady
The upper level management is disconnected from the daily gym environment. They don't believe in promoting from within and loyalty means nothing to them. Profit margin is all they care about.

Mostly good experience
Working here was good for the most part. My coworkers were really nice and supportive. The management however was somewhat poor. The manager for golds gym was not very understanding when it came to the weather.

Great when I worked there 25+years ago
When I was employed at Gold's Gym, the facility was clean and organized. Personal training was offered by independent contractors. I was hired as an aerobics instructor, receptionist, and facility maintainence which included wiping down tanning beds and weight equipment, vacuuming, and tidying up locker rooms after hours.
ConsLimited hours therefore limited income

You only make $8/hour wking the front desk. You do have the chance to make extra money if people use your name as a referral if they sign up for a membership. You do get nice discounts throughout the gym with training & products
ConsHorrible hourly pay

With the right personality and drive, an employee can thrive in Gold's Gym. One must possess the willingness to be a self motivator for both his/her self and the company

Funfilled place to work.
Ive learned a great deal while working at Golds , and also staying in shape with the many classes and weight training programs they offer. Met some fabulous people in my tenure their..and my most enjoyable aspect is helping people in various areas around the gym. While it can be a fast paced environment its also a fun and exciting .
