Caring culture
Great family oriented business. Casual culture. I was part of a management team seated in Kansas City, but my work locations were in various locations in Minnesota.

Perfect job for moms with kids in school
I worked 5 stores a week. I only got paid $9,000 a year. However, I was able to work my stores when my kids were at school. You are required to work the day after every holiday.

Under change
No comment on the Hallmark daily work or atmosphere. The company is changing the overall business process so I cannot give an accurate description of the company moving forward.

Excellent training. Great work culture, friendly. Wide range of store and task assignments. Mostly 50+ in age for retail maintenance assignments. Retail outlets are very appreciative of Hallmark products and people.

Flexibility and Support/Not enough work some months
Loved the job and working in the stores on the installations.
Hardest part was organizing the materials from the shipments.
Most enjoyable part of the job was the people and their willingness to
complete the job in a timely manner.

Productive and great co-workers! Environment is team oriented.
Hallmark is a wonderful company and incorporates invaluable skills and leadership you can take to any position at any company. I learned very early on, right out of college, what it takes to be a true professional! I not only excelled in my position but my co-workers have become life long friends! The culture is genuine, positive and employs people who are always willing to go the extra mile for their customers --internally and externally. If given the opportunity I would love to work at Hallmark again. Phenomenal company!
ProsGreat products, Crown Room (cafe), Double Discount Store, Gym, great co-workers
ConsNo longer can shop at Halls--too expensive for me.

Female friendly work environment
Hallmark Cards Inc. is without a doubt the best job I ever had. Employee management is excellent but the pay is low. Everyone I worked with was professional and friendly which made it easy to go to work everyday. The hardest part of the job, I feel, was finding new employees since the pay was very low. As a supervisor I tried to find ways to reward employees for their hard work and I found that my superiors did the same. Must be able to deal with large amounts of inventory and organizational skills are required in order to do this job well.
ProsFriendly professional Management, Co-workers and Clients
ConsLow pay and a lot of travel

We were all like one family, too bad that operation had ceased.
Nice company to work for. People were fun to work with, management were very considerate to our needs and situation. Benefits were okay. Birthday celebrants were celebrated each month. comfortable environment except when you have to work inside the cooler.
