Overall Reviews at Hollister Co

Greeter | Wauwatosa, WI | Oct 25, 2019
I enjoyed the environment and fresh energy that surrounded Hollister, mostly cool, youthful employees and sales associates, very open and great with communication and fun!
Brand Representative | The Woodlands, TX | Oct 7, 2019
Only stayed because coworkers are fun to be around: good job for teenagers that want cloths and little money
No career advancement. Very flexible hours but too flexible to where your asked to go in for a couple hours at night. Little hours and little pay. You can work hard but management gives raises based on favoritism and they're small. Only perk is discounted clothes if your really into them or forced to buy as uniform and usually fun team-oriented diverse work atmosphere.

It was productive and fun environment to work in.
It was productive and fun environment to work in. I made some great friends and learned so much from this job. How to handle money, shipments, customer service and even cleaning.

Poor Management and Scheduling
As a part-time brand rep for Hollister, I was slighted when it came to being scheduled. Even if I was put on the schedule I would be called off the day before I would go in. This happened for about 6 weeks before I quit. I was always uncomfortable around my superiors and I also felt lost. There was barely any training and I was expected to know what to do in every situation without being taught. For a first job, I would not recommend the location that I worked at.

Fun and comfortable environment
Very comfortable experience. I learned a lot about clothing and working in retail. I gained knowledge about costumer service. I enjoyed working at this store.

Brand Representative | Asheville, NC | May 27, 2019
its fun and great.
It's like a big family, its a very fun and great place to work, the management is amazing, driven and usually everything is done in time, and the co-workers are very supportive and they are always there to help.
Prosflexible hours, and the discounts
Cons7.25 an hour. As much as I love working there, i cant get to pay most of my bills that i have to pay.
Retail Assistant Manager | Connecticut | Nov 5, 2018
Don't Work Here
You will never get a raise unless you're a manager. You will only be paid the minimum wage amount in whatever state you live in. The management sucks and are unprofessional. You'll see girls wearing crop tops that are store managers. These people just don't know what professionalism is. Other than those things, it is a relaxed, fun environment to work in, unless the managers/co-worker's don't like you, then you'll have an awful time at work
ConsManagement sucks, Unprofessional, Favoritism
Brand Representative | Mesa, AZ | Sep 18, 2018
Great atmosphere with little benefits
For the most part, Hollister is a pretty chill job considering the pay is only minimum wage for a brand rep. Depending on your location, the store manager may or may not be professional and there is a high turnover rate for assistant managers. But other than that, the job is a fast-paced and is actually quite easy.
ProsDiscounted clothes, flexible hours, easy work
Consno manager stability

What is the work environment and culture like at Hollister Co?
Asked Jun 29, 2016
Really depends on your store location. Work is fast paced as a stock. Managers are okay. Co-workers are okay. The majority of your team will be in their teens so you have a more laid back vibe. (not laid back pace of work). I wouldn't say I would make good friends or any friends. But you learn how to be flexible with different types of personalities.
Answered Jun 27, 2017
It's laid back, nice, easy.
