Productive and fun work place
Enjoyed working at HBC for the past 5 years. Learnt lots of technologies involved in ecommerce platforms. It was a great team to work with and the manager was very understanding everyone's situations and concerns and helping them to feel valued in the team.

Demeaning culture.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with management literally yelling at people. It was a very blame oriented company. The parent company was selling off companies and the industry is changing fast.

HBC does not care for it's employees
This company was never good to work for. You are just a number in this establishment and they are clear that you can be replaced or just plain out eliminated. The company is going downhill fast. Management needs training in human interaction before they can get to diversity and inclusion. Overall dissatisfaction for this company.

Hbc is a stressful company you get cursed out everyday by the customers because driver is not doing job correctly or they missed their delivery customers will call you out of your name and management does not care about what your day transpire into hbc managers does not do anything and barely assist the customers especially when they are asking for them personally

The company is already on a shaky foundation, stop with all the mergers and layoffs! About two years ago the company began outsourcing their customer service to the Philippines. This, of course, set off alarms to the U.S. based employees. Everyone was in fear of losing their job. The management kept any and all information to themselves, doing their absolute best not to cause panic. This included telling everyone their job was secure and there was no cause for concern. Time went by, more mergers took place, then more outsourcing occurred. This time customer service jobs were outsourced to El Salvador. Again, red flags were flying and the alarm bells were ringing. And again we were told we had complete job security. Then, much to our surprise, there was a surprise layoff a few months ago. There was no warning, no word from upper management, no remorse, no nothing. So my piece of advice is to invest in your employees. Keep the jobs in the U.S. Stop buying companies. Improve and strengthen your own company, restore it to the retail giant it used to be before you lose it completely. At its current rate, it’s only a matter of time before the company goes under.

Prison work camp.I never worked in such mismanagement!!Intimidation tactics,employees spying on other emp!oyees.Ageism,bullying,harassment, treats their employees like they are lowlife scumbags.It got its nickname for a reason... "The flip side of reality"
