Amazing job for any high school or college student
Kumon is very accommodating for any student trying to find a balance between work and school. Working at Kumon can be very rewarding for anyone looking to become a teacher or counselor for kids. Students are a pleasure to work with and management is very communicative. Kumon is a great first job if you meet the math and reading qualifications and have the patience and composure to work with students.

Productive and exciting work place
A typical day at work would be organizing the students folders in alphabetical order before they come in. Each staff member would take two students at a time and grade their worksheets once they are finished with the student. Management is great and very fair. The hardest part of the job would be getting the students who gives a lot of trouble to learn. The most enjoyable part of the job would be the satisfaction you get helping that child learn.

Friendly and Comforting
Kumon has done nothing but made me feel comfortable and helped me open up to new technology and a new form of communication with children and adults. They also provided services with my personal life, made me want to come back and work for them.

This job is perfect for a high schooler looking for a part time job. You learn time management and tutoring skills. The management was a little unprofessional, but overall the workplace is easy going.

Fun place to work with kids while maintaining a serious work environment
At Kumon, children of all ages come in to sharpen their math and reading skills as a way to supplement their school work. The best thing about Kumon is that it is run on a very time saving schedule. Every day the kids have the same routine, as do the employees, making it very easy to do. I learned how to teach children new ways of learning, and that everyone learns differently. The environment was very quiet and relaxing, which helped with the educational aspect of Kumon. The hardest part of the job was the training, because there is a lot of little things to remember, but once you repeat it for a while, it is easy to remember. The best part of the job was seeing the kids embrace learning and knowing that I was doing something to help future generations.

Great Place overall
I'd arrive at 2 P.M and would start grading right away. Students would come in throughout the day, with peak hours being from 4-6, with all the kids being out of school. I learned how to be a lot more patient because I'd often have to repeatedly explain simple concepts to the younger children. My boss was really nice, I felt like she ha da good relationship with all of the workers. I'd say the hardest part of the job was trying to keep up with all the students during peak hours, and the most fun part was everything else. It was a really unique job and I couldn't be more blessed to have it as my first work experience ever.
Prosgreat enviroment, boss took us out to eat sometimes

Perfect part-time job for high school students
Working with children is a fantastic learning experience. I would recommend this job for those who only wish to work minimal hours or for young students who wish to have a part-time job.

Good part time job for high school or college students
This place is a good part time job for high school or college students. They have stable management and train employees for various responsibilities. Generally minimum wage and not much room for job advancement.

Great job for high schoolers in the area
Low-key job, doesn't require much of a time commitment. Great for high schoolers who are close by and want to earn a little extra spending money. Definitely not something an adult could support themselves off of, your check probably won't last until the next time you get paid. Minimal hours and low hourly pay rate. Overall job culture is laid back, though management can be a little high strung. Training is insufficient for the amount of preciseness Kumon requires of employees, but their technique is pretty easy to catch on to.

Recommend for Students
Kumon was my first job and it worked great with my schedule since I was a full-time undergrad student at the time. Not only did I build professional relationships with multiple managers and parents, I learned how to communicate better with kids & pre-teens. I recommend this job to students trying to make some pocket-money, learning to be teachers/counselors/therapists, and to those who haven't had jobs before. This was better than working at a burger joint and a great start to the professional world. Thank you Kumon!
ProsEasy schedule, easily call in if you can't make it, great start to the business world
ConsLow pay, open 2-3 times a week, not the best if you're not great with kids
