Laid off
The job was enjoyable and loved going to work everyday. The main problem if you get in lay off status they say they will help finding a job in the company. But, the management will not help no matter how many times you ask. Everyone who got let go in my area went to other companies.

A palace you can work where you a part of something big.
A lot of work is very specialized. If you are the kind of person that likes to take the initiative, learn from others and have pride in your work you will be right at home.

Great Company
There were some limitations for tenure on contracts (mine was lost). Liked the people and my managers were very fair. No place for me to go on the job. Awarded several Star awards and yet had no placement assistance when the contract was lost. Still, great benefits and loved the 401 K side.

Great employer
LM is an amazing company to work for. The job security at a defnce contractor is never great but the compensation is amazing. comp time a 9/80 work week and a flex schedule should be the standard everywhere.

It's a great work place
It's great to work, and we are challenged with the right tools and help to succeed. The work environment and team spirit are amazing. Management does their best to motivate every team member. Every member of the team is encouraged to take professional development courses. New employees are provided, mentors to get acquainted.

Questions And Answers about Lockheed Martin

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Lockheed Martin a better place to work?
Asked Dec 12, 2016
Demonstrate your respect for all employees.
Answered Mar 16, 2020
Ensure that all divisions treat women fairly. There are systemic practices that demean women professionals. When issues are raised, they are either ignored or the women is targeted as a trouble-maker or she is forced to leave. As CEO, I would make sure that all complaints of misogyny are brought to the attention of the Sr. VP for Human resources.

They need to practice employee standard hours and see who works who don't because there's usually one doing the work and other riding the clock

Very stressful push push no budget. Lockheed seems to think you can run a company with no overhead so much waste almost 30 years and it’s a shame where we’re headed used to be the best. Denver seems to be falling apart. Became schedule, work, life balance.
