Overall a good place to work
A typical day at the job requires working a swing shift that changes from week to week. I have learned a lot of valuable skills that helped individually and professionally. The management about employees and advancement within the organization. The hardest part of the job would be the weekly rotating schedule for someone that has never worked a rotating shift. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that you meet working there. The people at Michelin make the work experience a great place to work.

employed for 35+ years with Michelin. I started as an entry level employee and advanced to corporate level over the course of my career. Gained knowledge of Logistics through practical application and on site training. Michelin is an excellent employer.

Michelin provides their customers the best tire possible.
The safety of employees and customers is the number one priority at Michelin. Many safety measures are implemented within the manufacturing facility. Tires go through numerous inspections during and after the manufacturing process before they are released to distribution centers.

Producive and very welcoming environment
I have served two positions at Michelin. I worked as at the headquarter for research and development (MARC) as well as US1 (one of the large scale tire US factories). Both of these opportunities required programming/software experience that assisted in the development of my knowledge for this field of work.

Good company to work for and I had no bad experiences.
They taught me had to become a leader at Michelin. They respect their employees and they let us make decisions. Important decisions. The employees runs the company. Everyone is their own boss.

Very Advanced Pace Company
Typical day: I arrive at work at least 20 mins prior to my shift, just to check on production & see how the lines are running. Sometimes the lines can be stressful sometimes the lines run smoothly
ConsWorking in a Warehouse with no A/C or Heat in the Winter

Very Poor upper management
The company has changed drastically over the past 31 years. Respect for people and respect for facts just words. Production over employees both wage and salary the standard day to day operations

Depressing environment. Outdated ideals.
I have horror stories from this company, along with almost everyone of my generation. About twenty of us all quit within a few years from different parts of the company across the US. Very disappointing place to work, where the culture is nothing like what the management claims it is, but no one cares to try to improve it. Pay was low, morale was low, lots of good people left.

Interesting place to work
On Site Support for 1000+ users. Mainly desktop / laptop preparation and support. Network support for switches and access points. Some remote support some location support.
Hardest part of the job: Addressing the various non standard issues with the network.
Most enjoyable part: Resolving the various issues.
ProsThe site was very close to my home.
