Overall Reviews at Ricoh
Director of Operations | Atlanta, GA | Dec 3, 2019
A great, stable company
Ricoh is a great, stable company with tremendous people at all levels. I enjoyed working with great people all over the world. There are many different facets to the business and avenues to explore. Workforce mobility however is a challenge within the organization, but I believe they are working on that.

Lack of strategic thinking. Japanese company with lack of understanding of U.s. market . Continual turnover with lack of empathy for customers and work force.
Inability to transition to a service based provider.

Relaxed workplace, yet productive
Working the 1100-2000 shift allows for a lot of flexibility for work/life balance. The relaxed environment as well as the productive atmosphere creates a great place to work. The only concern is the differences in management as well as the lack of communication.

The Japanese view Americans as lazy and wasteful so you can imagine how they view majority’s...now you fill in the blanks !
As a whole...the company is like ever other company...just know if your a majority advancement will not be an option for you...so if your comfortable with just getting a check then this the company for you

Laid back environment
I was tasked with learning the job without on the job training consisting of billing and other application management. While my position was PSS1 (Print Support Specialist 1) my duties were not of the position but that of collecting meters across 500+ printing devices and meeting with department heads to verify billing for "prints per click". With this position, I was able to rectify $100K in billing corrections owed to Ricoh from Metro. After metro moved to a new contract, I was able to make the Dell account for Ricoh profitable for the first time since the contract's inception by billing out labor as needed for event setups on a one person basis rather than using excess labor that was unnecessary.

The company itself is not a bad company but when their management is in an essence the face of the company... Well, let's just say Ricoh needs a SERIOUS facelift.

fun people to work with
Great people to work with. team mates really help each other. Onsite manager is very easy to talk to. Onsite Supervisor is always there when you need assistance.

A typical day is cold calling and scheduling meetings. Management is helpful in supporting your efforts and closing the sale.
Ricoh provides an exceptional and extensive sales and product training program for each employee. There are tests which can include role-play after each subject.

Past its prime
Ricoh was once a good company that one could be proud to represent. Since 2017 when they cut loose almost the entire US sales force, they have completely ignored customer relations.
