Poor place to work
Managers are terrible, and they don't follow the rules. I would not advise working here regardless of the pay. The headache and back stabbing is terrible

Great work enviroment terrible people management
Schlumberger overall was a great place that was until the merge happened and management changed. I thoroughly enjoyed my job and loved getting up to go to it but care for the employees left the managements eyes and it went downhill from there.Employees who were experienced and had initiative got ran off, leaving people who only show up for a paycheck and make themselves look good on paper to stay employed. Management was clueless and did nothing to correct the issue. Now you can walk through the shop and simple questions about the equipment they are working on and they stare with a blank face.

It's ok
If you're not an engineer, don't expect to progress in the company. Very little time at home. The work to life balance is completely off tilt and management has no concept of work/life balance.

day in the life

As an ET-3 (Electronic Technician level 3), every day would be different. my co workers would assist me with anything that would be needed and management always had the employees in mind. great teams around the world ive worked with and would gladly work with them again if i had the chance.
Prosgo to travel and gain large amounts of experience
Conscant honestly think of anything negative. my experience there was great

How are the working hours at Schlumberger?
Asked Jul 1, 2016
All depends what position you have. From the field side: When its busy, you work very long hours (12 to 20 hours a day) plenty of money to spend just no time to spend it. Family usually spends it for you. When its slow you are broke with too much time on your hands.
