Overall Reviews at Shoprite Store

Day as a cashier
A typical day as a cashier is going to the podium and being assigned to a register. Then if it was around first of month it would be very busy, and you usually have a bagger to help you out. In the mornings it can be slow but this ShopRite is usually busy and in the express line there is always a line.

High pace and knowledge of item locations required.
Good place to work and shop. Great shopping music and good item prices. Associates are very helpful and the store is always neat with many items selections.
ProsPrices, variety of selections and helpful associates.
ConsNone at this time.

The culture at Shoprite is great. It is a family owned business and all of your coworkers do feel like family. There issue much room for growth and you can always advance.

Very large busy supermarket that kept you busy from the time you clocked in until you clocked out. The customers could be hard to deal with. Managers were good to work with.

Management sucks. Pay is not great and only raises u get our 25¢ union raises. Not worth it. They give certain people less work and take advantage of the good workers

Ive learned to be a strong person, and mind my business. Remain humble at all times
It was a sweet run at shoprite. Yet very stressful at the same time. I held on and remained strong. I've learned here sometimes you just gotta let some people have it. Even if they wrong.

Good first experience, terrible workplace.
The ShopRite store I worked at was a mess in all senses, between the shelves to the majority of the employees. The store proved to be a great way to break myself out of my introverted, shy shell, but after a while I realized how poor the management was.
ProsFriendly and helpful coworkers, good first job, works with your schedule
ConsPoorly managed/disciplined employees, inconsistent store rules for both customers and employees

Good Job to Start at.
They make you get carts, bag groceries, and do clean up work. No benefits or anything like that. The only thing you gain from this job is a paycheck and some experience.
