Negative environment
Manager in my particular dept changed atmosphere to a negative, hostile environment. People don't interact or even speak regularly during the day. Focus is numbers, numbers numbers, different than company culture espouses to promote.

Good enterprise work environment
Typical day involves various meetings with leadership to address regulatory concerns and reduce process complexity across geographic locations. Culture depends on work/job location.

Great Management
The best thing about working at SCB is the management. They are all of the below: -friendly -straight forward -empathetic -encouraging -etc When someone has an issue, they aim to resolve it straight away. It speaks volumes about the type of managers hired at SCB. They all encourage each employee to do their best and will help provide resources to each employee that is willing to learn more and go beyond what the role requires.

A fun place to work in which encourages high productivity. We have ping pong table, snooker table, table soccer and a Gym
Standard Chartered bank is an organisation that is well structured and adhered to global good practices, standards and frameworks. It is also an organisation that takes delight in training her staff as most of the professional certification I acquired were paid for by the bank including the training. Standard Chartered Bank rewards good performance and encourages work life balance.

Good team
No additional comments - Quite a bit of travel to Asia NY office in midtown is convenient and pleasant Serious about AML monitoring and sanctions screening
Intern | New York, NY | Feb 25, 2019
Good internship
This was an internship where we had good exposure within a team, but not much outside of our team. The bank has had its struggles, so the company may not be as desirable to work at anymore.
