compensation is accurate for the type of work, lots of promotional opportunities
I loved working at state farm, i relocated to phoenix and helped start up the hub location, i moved back to missouri and the office there had become more structured toward meeting numbers, quality was not as important as getting your metrics met. They changed alot of their policies and pushed alot of great experienced workers back out into the workforce. If you are in a hub location the environment is great, if you are in an office that is not a hub, its rows and rows of empty cubicles and lots of unhappy people.

A very good place to work
Wish the individual agents were able to offer better benefits. I pay my own medical and very expensive. Only benefit is vacation and sporadic bonuses.

It's a great place to learn professionalism and business savvy.
The hardest part of the job was getting multiple phone calls at once. The most enjoyable part of the job is being in a office working with different personalities as a group.

Productive and fun work place
I am able to use my bilingual and customer service skills. I enjoy team work and people I work with at the office. Management is extremely helpful. The best part of the job is being able to solve problems for my customers. The toughest part would be trying to keep up with call volume. The most enjoyable part is to socialize with my peers.

I no longer work there so I have nothing to say about this company, bad nor good. There were four lines of Underwriting, but my department, BL USA, was the most complicated, detailed, and non repetitive of all four.

Great teams that work together
Middle management is going the wrong direction. Have not bought into the digital transformation and fight to maintain the legacy hard. Leadership is trying to not let go of middle management but to be successful they will have to

Great boss- really enjoyed the autonomy I had there
The owner I worked for was great to work for and I learned so much in the almost 5 years that I worked there. He treated us to a lot of free meals, activities, and hosted a party at his River House every year which was so fun. I felt very appreciated and respected there and wasn't looking for another job but was recruited and offered more money. I still keep in touch with my boss there and would still be there if I didn't leave for the money.

Questions And Answers about State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company

How are the working hours at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company?
Asked Jun 28, 2016
I worked as a Customer Care Center rep and was working a 4x10. Monday: 7:45 am - 6:15 pm Tuesday/Wednesday: Off Thursday/Friday: 7:45 am - 6:15 pm Saturday: 7:45 am - 6:00 pm Sunday: Off At first it wasn’t bad but overtime a 4x10 really starts taking a huge tole on you and make your days seem never ending especially during busy times and cause you to have long phone times. You start to LIVE for your 2 off days in row and start to hate the day you come back and as if it wasn’t long enough. In the CCC you seem to not really have a choice about weekends pretty much everyone is required to work a Saturday or Sunday unless requested off or you were able to give your shift to someone. Best option is to stay away from 4x10 shifts and go with anything but that.

I applied on Monday, had a phone interview on Tuesday, Face-to-face interview on Wednesday, offered the job on Thursday, and got a call Friday that I was in the clear and could start! My agent told me it happened very quickly for me, as most background checks 3-4 days, but mine cleared very fast. The whole process was fast and fun.
