Passionate workplace
I absolutely love working here. They are always so kind, passionate, and sweet to me. They help me learn new tasks, that college never teaches you. Feels more like a family, then a job.

Mission Driven workplace ultimately focused on a single goal
The Salvation Army is a phenomenal place to work. Not only do they accomplish their vision statements but they act with grace and understanding when dealing with employees who have family/home life needs. The most enjoyable part of the job is the connection to accomplishing something better for this world. Workplace culture can be somewhat silo'd however that can be changed or adjusted by your own preference. Collaboration with multiple departments is a regular occurrence.

Productive
This was an amazing place to work. The other employees warmed up and were polite. Being trained was a rewarding time. Being left on my own was also rewarding when the supervisor checked my work. Always getting respect and acknowledged for the good work I did and just a respectful discussion if they wanted things changed. The management was amazing. The hardest part of the job was moving furniture but we did it using the buddy system and was less heavy. The whole job was enjoyable. I wish I still lived near a Salvation Army because I would apply with them.

Doing the Most Good
I love The Salvation Army and what they stand for. The Salvation Army is a church. Their MESSAGE is based on the Bible, it's MINISTRY is motivated by the love of GOD and it's MISSION is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in HIS name without discrimination. I love helping people and I love the Lord. That's why I love my job. We help the community and travel the world meeting human needs in HIS name. My job is to recruit the best candidate who will not only value The Salvation Army's mission but do the best job they can in their position so we can continue to "Do the Most Good"

The special events were fun & exciting.
In the beginning it was a wonderful place to work. When the previous supervisors transferred to this location, it was absolutely an intolerable atmosphere & environment. They are ordained ministers but they have begun to lose what their ministry & mission is really all about. They have begun to not care about their employees.
ProsThe benefits were good.
ConsNew supervisors every 4 to 5 years. Never knew what the new one would be like.

You get the feeling of giving back to the community and others
Loved working for the SALVATION ARMY. It wasn't really about the pay once you saw the smiles on the kids and some customers faces . great place to work if you have the love in your heart of helping and giving back to others

Needs to leadership brought in.
The leadership team in Medford lack accountability and consistency. Your ability to complete your job successfully will depend on their reliability and punctuation(which is absolutely none) But you will be the patsy. I was very excited to be working in a place where my relationship and faith could be shared and made stronger sadly their was none of that, loved what I did tho.
