Overall Reviews at Tui Group

Great company, horrible ownership
This company was great and had major potential. Unfortunately, the CEO was a ticking time bomb and would yell and threaten the employees on a daily basis. They have went out of business and I think the CEO had a lot to do with that

Its a nice company if you need a break from normal life and work but it wont help you to save for a future the pay is very low and if you have things to pay for back home this will soon make life hard theres no real support if you have to leave for a family emergency either which is very bad considering tui is such a big company.
HOLIDAY REPRESENTATIVE | Remote | Jan 14, 2020
TUI is an amazing company to work for I have experienced so many great things in the last year and a half and have now lived in 4 different countries around the world. It completely depends what destination youre working in as to what your day will consist of and what hours you will work. Everyday is different when you work as a holiday representative.

You see the world, you meet new and interesting people all the time and can work in a nice working environment. Long days but also a lot of free time, nice pay.

Poor company to work for
I worked for Tui for 18 years, I started when they was Lunn Poly, they was ok to work for back then but not now. You don’t feel valued, the pay is rubbish, management are shocking, your lucky if you get a dinner break, they don’t look after the staff at all. I left because they changed my contract from fixed to flexi.
Store Manager | Staff, TX | Nov 16, 2019
I worked for TUI for 6 months during 2019, I must say I was very excited to be joining a company who’s products I love! However my experience was certainly not as glossy as the brochures.
I joined as a store manager who had no experience of travel, reflecting on the training I had I must say is was shockingly poor compared to my previous job and my current job, the job I am in now has provided so much training that it really brought to light how poor Tui’s new manager training was.
They say that support is only the other end of the phone ( that’s if you can get hold of anyone) but the only time you really hear off other managers or the regional manager is when you are in for a roasting, this was not only my opinion. I requested more training, which was fulfilled but backed up by an action plan after speaking to several other managers in the region this was a common theme, one one left due higher management.
Saturday is an expected requirement within retail, it was common knowledge within the region that everyone had 1 Saturday off a month.
However this was challenged by my regional manager.
After a short period I was made redundant, I have read several comments about bullying, I wouldn’t say I saw bullying but you certainly know if your face doesn’t fit and mind certainly didn’t, luckily I have a job now which is better paid, less stressful and more enjoyable.

Fun place to work and travel
IF you follow the rules and work hard you will be successful .
The work days start early but you meet a lot of new people. Adherence to the rules are of utmost importance and also being friendly is a huge asset.
