Overall Reviews at ZARA
A day at work is hectic long days. Lots of work for little pay. ZARA is not for a NYC worker. Great worker benefits but stressful for a student worker.
Its not what you say its how you say it
We had one bathroom for both males and females. The trashcan had no lid and one of my coworkers kept incorrectly disposing of her tampons and pads. I knew who it was, however, I did not want to single them out. So, one day, after our morning meeting, I pulled all the women to the side to discuss how to properly dispose of these items, because, respectively, they might not have known better. Also, considering we share these restrooms with our male coworkers, on top of it being and eyesore, I took initiative. My boss YELLED at me and told me it was inappropriate.
IT IS NATURAL
and the only thing inappropriate is how she yelled at me and how the woman improperly disposes of her sanitary napkins. Other than that
I love this company. I still have my stocks too

not the best experience
A typical day of work at Zara usually start very early depending on whether was shipment day or a regular day. I learned how to do every position at zara except the management job. The workplace culture was fine and the most enjoyable part of the job was the satisfaction of being able to help the customer look for what they were looking for. The hardest part of the job was having to face the managers negative attitude everyday and deal with constant harassment of not only the managers but the rude corporate people of Zara.
fun workplace, but hard work.
The job was very rewarding in a sense that I got the opportunity to run a department and have freedom in my work. The hardest part of the job was having multiple tasks to do and nearly not enough time. The people I worked with are some of my best friends. I learned what hard work meant and how much I loved to train new employees.
Great place to work for
I have been working for the company for almost 6 years now and have love the opportunity. I believe I'm just ready for new venture and better opportunity.
Bad working atmosphere
Bad place to work, management is very poor. You have to do a lot of task which are not in your job description. Managers are never on the floor, not approachable. Nothing is good enough, no positive feedback.
good place to work
Some of the managers are good, sometimes they change managers too much and people quit too because is very stressfull to work at zara. What i liked is that you learn a lot and you have a lot of cultures around you
The pay is worth the labor
The job is harder than most would assume, but the pay definitely makes up for the labor. The store is very popular creating a very chaotic and busy environment. You would think customers were deliberately trying to destroy the store. Every employee would go at least an hour and a half overtime. The commission we earn is a great bonus!
ProsPay, Employee discounts can be used on friends, Benefits, 401K
ConsPhysical depletion/ exhaustion. Foot pain from standing, cleaning
Fun and Interesting
My experience with Zara was extremely intriguing. I established a great relationship with customers and learned many essential skills for retail.
