Rue means Regret
All that matters is the fragrance sales. Its a job made for minors. Even managers get paid minimum wage from what I hear. I do not recommend at all in any way shape or form.

Great discounts, but not a great work place
You'll get some decent hours working there, but workers aren't exactly treated the fairest. However, you'll get 40% discount. When I was there I was doing more than the average retail associate, I feel like. Compensation didn't match the work.
Pros40% off discount
ConsNot a great work environment

Very immature and cruel
For the longest time the working conditions inside the store were unbearable. The company told us countless times they were to fix the air conditioning but never got to it until a month later of the hottest summer weather. It was told to close if the store was too hot and uncomfortable for customers, and once that happened the store was close through half the week.
ConsShort breaks, bad environment

Decent part time summer job.
Good job for highschool students who need extra cash to spend. Not the best job when it comes to hours or pay. Very low pay and very low hours. Good people and environment though.
ConsLow Hours Low Pay

Rue 21 was a Productive work place with a great environment from the other representatives. The management was great as well, which helped the work environment better for the employees and I. The hardest part of this job was paste during the busy seasons, but the best part was being able to connect with the customers when it came to what they wanted to wear.
ProsDiscounts, always work

Love the job but there is no job security
Im in love with this job. Being able to work with my coworkers and neighboring stores to create a fun workplace environment for both staff and customers. Though Rue21 is constantly closing stores in my district and threatening store managers to receive better numbers, i felt as though i had no job security.

The environment is very friendly
Everyone who works there is kind and supportive of anyone who comes to the store. I loved being brought into their family. Although it was a great environment they were not the best at scheduling.
ConsNot a lot of work hours

Not a good place to work
The managers only give hours to people that suck up to them and they neglect hard working employees they allow certain employees to sit in the back on their phones while others do all of the work

Very friendly, but had some issues.
This company is fun to work with, but did not care too much about the staff when it came to shop lifters. The workers are very friendly and will get along great with anyone! The managers are very understanding when it came to school and working.
