Productive quick paced enviornment
I worked at Rue 21 for a year but ended up moving back to Texas for my Senior year of high school.
I assisted customers with questions, needs and knowledge of our newest merchandise as well as pushed sales and operated the cash register.

Rue means Regret
All that matters is the fragrance sales. Its a job made for minors. Even managers get paid minimum wage from what I hear. I do not recommend at all in any way shape or form.

Great discounts, but not a great work place
You'll get some decent hours working there, but workers aren't exactly treated the fairest. However, you'll get 40% discount. When I was there I was doing more than the average retail associate, I feel like. Compensation didn't match the work.
Pros40% off discount
ConsNot a great work environment

I work in a very fun environment overall. All the employees I work with are friendly and very productive.
Rue21 is a great clothing store to shop at. Maintaining the upkeep of the store and the happiness of customers is our number priority throughout the work day. We get our work done and have fun at the same time.
Prosmanagers buy you lunch sometimes, clean place to work
Consshort breaks (30mins)

The pay and hours isn't great but the clothes look great. If they offered full time and benefits it would make the job better. Rue does great things and its fun to work there.
ConsShort break, no benefits, low hours, no advancement

Good Company to work with.
It was my first job so it was fine for the time being. Easy to work with, great first job. Only issue was there is minimal hours given.

Very immature and cruel
For the longest time the working conditions inside the store were unbearable. The company told us countless times they were to fix the air conditioning but never got to it until a month later of the hottest summer weather. It was told to close if the store was too hot and uncomfortable for customers, and once that happened the store was close through half the week.
ConsShort breaks, bad environment

Horrible work environment working with employees who always call in and nothing being done about it. Management sitting on counters at work and store managers allowing it to happen. There is no organization in the company.
ProsDiscount on clothes
ConsNo lunchs no organization

Decent part time summer job.
Good job for highschool students who need extra cash to spend. Not the best job when it comes to hours or pay. Very low pay and very low hours. Good people and environment though.
ConsLow Hours Low Pay
