Truck Mechanic
Tom Calabrese Trucking, Inc. has a permanent full-time opening for a semi truck mechanic. Work is M-F with 1/2 day on some Saturdays. Our company is family owned and operated and has been since 1971. We have a full-service shop which does everything from oil changes to complete engine and transmission overhauls as well as some trailer work. Vast majority of trucks are Peterbilt 389’s with PACCAR or Cummins engines and approximately 90% of the fleet is newer than seven years old.
Compensation: Hourly + Overtime (pay rate depends on experience)
Paid weekly: direct deposit or check.
Overall Position Requirements include but are not limited to:
Heavy duty (class 8) truck & trailer work (from basic to complex depending on experience) such as:
- Preventive truck & trailer maintenance (oil changes, grease jobs, fluids, filters, etc.)
- Corrective truck & trailer maintenance (simple components to entire sub-systems/ assemblies)
- Air brake systems
- Pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Tire changes/rotations/repairs (everyone shares this responsibility as needed)
- Other maintenance/shop tasks as assigned
- Detailed documentation of all work performed is required
- Pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol tests
- Maintain a valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus!)
- Dealer experience or Tech school experience is a plus!
Position is for swing shift. Hours are 9:30am-7:30pm
