The Position

Sunfinity Renewable Energy, LLC (SRE) is one of America’s fastest-growing solar companies, led by a world-class management team of renewable energy experts. SRE is looking for a proven sales executive who will share our enthusiasm growing a sustainable, renewable energy based business. The commercial sales executive will lead the company’s efforts in the designated regions to develop, maintain and manage relationships with inside and outside sales teams as well as engage in direct sales. We’re looking for dynamic C&I (Commercial & Industrial) sales leaders in Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and Austin / San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assess market potential for commercial / industrial solar and energy storage projects (targeting retail, hospitals, educational/academic institutions, municipalities, pharma, large developers, architects and landlords) and develop sales projections
  • Identify target market sectors and develop pursuit plans resulting in sales
  • Prioritize targets and develop strategic plans to develop a pipeline of business
  • Work with the National and Regional Sales and Marketing teams to develop and present proposals for individual businesses/potential customers and act as liaison; manage the sales cycle from origination through sale; maintain client relationships after the sale
  • Leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape on pricing strategy
  • Identify and pursue potential grant sources to support potential customer projects
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless execution of projects through installation and troubleshooting any issues during / post installation process
  • Recruit / train / manage additional sales staff as needed, including direct sales staff and representative firms
  • Work with Marketing to develop collateral and campaign materials as needed
  • Represent the brand at key trade shows/industry events

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree in finance, business or engineering, or may substitute with related discipline degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience base in the renewable energy sector focused on PV solar and energy storage
  • Strong knowledge of PV and energy storage proposal writing and system pricing
  • Sound decision making capability; ability to respond promptly to the needs of the customer, solicit feedback to improve service and respond to requests for service / assistance in an expeditious manner
  • Proficiency in computer skills in PV Solar proposal tools, Excel, PowerPoint and email communications
  • Self-motivated with an interest in marketing and the renewable energy / solar industry
  • Ability to adapt and work in an intensive, fast-paced, fun environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Eagerness to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, organize, manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
  • Aptitude to effectively communicate with peers, senior management and partners
