WGL Energy - Associate Operations Analyst
Will you be the next addition to the WGL Energy team? We are seeking an Associate Operations Analyst.
You Will
Generate requisitions and receives invoices for Operations’ vendor payments in the accounts payable system
Margin, track, and verifies retail large commercial contracts
Document and track Renewable Energy Credit and Carbon Offset transactions in the trade capture system
Generate reports to assist with Electric and Gas Operations month-end financial close
Produce and ensure the accuracy of various standard and ad-hoc reports for management
Collaborate with Quantitative Analysis, Operations, and IT to understand and improve upon current models
Communicate with wholesale counterparties, PJM, and pipelines as necessary to facilitate timely payment of account payables
Follow proper processes and documentation requirements for all inputs and assumptions
You Have
Bachelors degree preferred
0-2 Years experience in a professional office environment.
Some experience with Excel is preferred, as is experience with Oracle/SQL
Excellent organizational skills
Project Demonstrated project management skills Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience in physical energy business a plus.
Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills Project management skills including strong process orientation with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Performs work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to be creative while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize work assignments in a deadline-oriented role.
Self-initiator that can execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
