As a Junior Front-End Developer at Liberty Home Guard, you'll help improve our customers’ experience and brand perception. You'll do this by making our website more user-friendly, through the use of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to create interactive web pages, ensuring our site works well on mobile devices, enhancing browser compatibility, managing our development process, optimizing for search engines, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for users.
As a key team member at Liberty Home Guard, your role as a Front-End Developer goes beyond coding. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience for our customers and prospects through your expertise.
- Write clean and efficient code to implement design concepts into functional and responsive web applications.
- Get feedback from and build solutions for users and customers.
- Effectively communicate and work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed.
- Write functional requirement documents and guides.
- Create quality mockups and prototypes.
- Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Implement interactive elements and animations to improve user engagement.
- Test and troubleshoot web applications for cross-browser compatibility and performance.
- Utilize front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g React, Angular, Node.js) as needed.
- Contribute to the development of intuitive and visually appealing UI.
- Troubleshoot and address performance issues to ensure fast-loading web pages.
- Contribute to the seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and code quality.
- Support the continuous improvement of web development processes and workflows.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Maintain version control using systems like Git to manage code effectively
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience/certifications.
- 1-3 years proven work experience as a Front-end developer.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with markup languages including HTML 5, CSS.
- Basic understanding Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- In-depth understanding of front-end development functions, methodologies, and best practices.
- Capable of working closely with designers and back-end developers to achieve project goals.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
- A collaborative and approachable team player with a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
