Advertised Job Summary
The Admissions Coordinator manages the front office operations of the Office of Admissions, has primary responsibility for the fulfillment of inquiries for information or services (in person, by telephone, email or electronic), and communicates with various internal and external audiences and stakeholders in the exchange of information about the law school admission process and the School of Law. The Admissions Coordinator customizes campus visits for prospects and guests, including class visits, building tours, and meetings with admissions staff, faculty, and student ambassadors. The Admissions Coordinator has direct responsibility for prospect information and recruitment event management using a CRM . The Admissions Coordinator coordinates admissions staff recruitment travel, manages the logistics of off-campus recruitment and yield events, and assists with on-campus recruitment and yield events. The Admissions Coordinator manages administrative matters related to staff travel, purchasing and procurement, recruitment and travel budget management, recruitment materials and printing, and other administrative matters to support the student recruitment and admissions function. The Admissions Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean for Admissions and in collaboration with professional admissions staff and student volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.
Experience with database management systems, software systems, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required. Highly motivated with desire to serve students and public. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in answering questions and providing advice. Able to understand specific information about the School of Law and convey that information accurately to others. Proficiency in ACES 2 and PeopleSoft or ability to become proficient in both required.
