Our hungry, quality-focused Dealer Services Team is looking for ambitious hires to cultivate new relationships, maintain existing partners and ensure our customers get the best service available. Our national network of more than 11,000 TrueCar Certified Automotive Dealers, including both new car franchise dealers and non-franchise dealers, is committed to providing guaranteed pricing information for all car-buyers including members of some of the country’s largest membership and service organizations such as USAA, American Express, AAA and Consumer Reports.

Right now, we’re looking for an energetic, determined Business Development Manager who not only understands what it takes to drive great relationships, but wants to have a major impact on our company and our customers! The Business Development Manager is responsible for acquiring new TrueCar Dealers within a geographic territory. This person will report to the Regional Sales Director.

  • Close target Automotive Dealers on TrueCar’s various Dealer services and products
  • Aggressively acquire new business
  • Consistently meet or exceed territory goals, including Dealer acquisition, growth, dealer satisfaction metrics
  • Facilitate onsite presentations to key decision makers
  • Aggressively build, strengthen and influence key Automotive Dealer relationships
  • Represent TrueCar at various industry conferences and trade shows as needed
  • Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations to management for how to improve TrueCar’s various Automotive Dealer services
Accurately and timely document sales interactions in Salesforce as required

  • Minimum of 4 years outside sales experience
  • Auto industry experience
  • Road-Warrior mentality
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales and/or other quantitative goals, as well as qualitative goals
  • Enthusiastic, determined and appropriately persistent
  • Relevant, timely follow up skills with strong attention to detail
  • Cold calling, networking, business development and consultative sales experience
  • Experience giving presentations to key decision makers
  • Strong customer focus with the capability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to provide ongoing recommendations and feedback
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Digital automotive experience
  • Advertising sales experience
