As an Operations Excellence (OpEx) Manager, you will manage project teams and/or provide subject matter expertise related to the AFS Management Consulting Operations Excellence practice. Project scopes may include: Business Process Re-Engineering, Workforce Optimization, High Performance Management, Supply Chain Excellence, or Enterprise Resource Planning Optimization. Project teams are typically made up of Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Consultants. You will be the "face of the project" to the client and provide vision, guidance, and direction to clients and junior team members. The OpEx Manager will be responsible for project management including project financials, budgeting, and staffing. You will also contribute to the Community of Practice (CoP) via Intellectual Property such as white papers, and other reusable assets; assisting with business development via the development of marketing materials, proposal writing, and Rough Order of Magnitude estimates; participating in periodic CoP calls, attending industry conferences, and generating interest in the CoP with junior team members.
5 years of experience in at least two of the following skill areas: labor and capacity planning, lean implementations, process improvements, managing workforce performance, project management, assessments and future state planning, integration of engineering data into ERP implementations and or warehouse and distribution center environment
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering degree or Supply Chain Management
Working in or with federal, state, or local government organization
Working in the health care industry
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
