The Director of Professional Development actively leads the design, development, and delivery of effective and efficient professional development for n2y customers and internal teams. The Director of Professional Development also works closely with other n2y teams to develop processes, gain and impart product knowledge and is responsible for the lifecycle of n2y?s Product Development solutions. This position can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership, vision, and guidance to n2y PD team in providing industry-leading professional development and course creation
Establish and manage the Professional Development budget
Direct needs assessments to inform growth in Professional Development offerings
Determine annual course development needs in collaboration with PD and Product teams
Support business development activities, in close collaboration with Product, Sales and Customer Care teams, through demonstrations, strategic client conversations, and course delivery
Work with Human Resources and Customer Care to develop and deliver cross-team onboarding curriculum
Manage, improve and implement scalable PS operations, processes, and internal tooling to ensure timely delivery, tracking, visibility, automation, cost control and customer satisfaction
Promote and continue to build upon n2y?s opportunities for client and internal certifications
Build and manage Professional Development Specialist(s) and per diem trainers, to ensure high-quality training experiences and consistent messaging

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
Certification or combined relevant experience in Special Education
Experience in product management or development responsibility for digital products or services
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and content accessibility requirements
Understanding of principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional development
Experience with scaling professional development/training models
Knowledge of pedagogy, existing curriculum, assessment and classroom practice in Special Education or related field
Administrative and supervisory skills with an ability to oversee support and staff
Ability to plan, organize, direct, manage, and coordinate the operations of the solution
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment
Budgetary experience and schedule responsibility in a high-performance environment
Familiarity with state and national educational standards
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail
Ability to work in a deadline-driven team atmosphere
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Travel estimated to be 20-30%
