The world is exploding with cloud services! Crucial data is now spread out all over the web. Companies need to bring this data together to run their businesses. Up until now, this has been an incredibly difficult task requiring lots of complicated programming and custom consulting work to duct tape together best-in-class tools. Enter Azuqua... A new way to connect complex workflows built on top of a scalable platform using some of the latest, most sophisticated technology.

Azuqua is searching for a full-time software development intern. You must be an innovator, be curious and excited to explore the latest in cloud, open source and web APIs. The duration for this position is 6 months.

This individual will explore APIs, gather requirements, develop, integrate and test our cloud-based software product with customer platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the web-based, RESTful APIs and how to test them. This individual will create reusable code as part of an integrated software development team alongside other developers.

Exploring APIs and translating them into actionable requirements.
Developing reusable software components that other developers and business users will leverage.
Developing high quality code that handles and recovers from failure.
Identifying and writing thorough sets of tests.
Improving the quality of our connectors and documentation.
Helping other developers and business users find the root cause of bugs.
Collaborating with the customer success team and the engineering team to improve requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Proactively solving challenging problems.
Participating on an agile team.

Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Electrical Engineering.
Available full time for 6 months
Must be proficient in analyzing HTTP requests and responses using Chrome.
Client-server and server-to-server application testing experience.
Experience testing RESTful API’s and web-based user interfaces.
Strong experience with at least one modern programming language. JavaScript is preferred.
Ability to write SQL queries.
Comfortable with basic shell scripting in a Linux environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
