We are currently seeking experienced Animal Care Technicians for our client site on Cambridge, MA. Your primary role will be to perform health observations, animal handling, care and husbandry within a research vivarium, along with cage changing/cagewash, investigative support and maintaining thorough and accurate records following established protocols/guidance.

The role requires superior customer service skills and the following necessary qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in animal or life sciences field preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years directly related laboratory animal experience in an AAALAC accredited facility is required.
  • Certification/Licensure : AALAS certification at the ALAT level or above is required.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: You must be proficient with basic animal identification methods; able to effectively follow verbal and written instructions and demonstrate a strong teamwork orientation; oral and written communication skills; attention to detail, organization, ability to achieve work goals with minimum daily oversight, and a superior customer service focus!
