Job Summary
The University of Michigan Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced clinician-scholar to serve as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. The Director will lead a clinical team that currently includes four pediatric rheumatologists and a sports-medicine certified pediatrician; additional recruitment of at least 2-3 additional faculty members is anticipated. There is a well-established Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program, and opportunity for joint Medicine/Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship training.

The Division Director is expected to oversee and expand clinical programs to deliver state-of-the-art rheumatology care, and promote the academic career development of junior faculty and fellows.

The successful candidate is expected to have a robust track record of scholarship and be eligible for appointment as an Associate/Full Professor (Instructional or Clinical track, depending on qualifications).

Required Qualifications*
Requirements include an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree; eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Michigan, and certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Rheumatology sub-board. The successful candidate is expected to have a robust track record of scholarship. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clincial and didactic teaching is expected.

This position is posted as Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor (clinical track) and Associate Professor/Professor (instructional track). Track and rank of selected candidate is depended upon qualifications.
