Asset Protection Unit (APU) seeks an experienced software developer to join our team. APU is growing rapidly and we look for engaged, enthusiastic, and excited folks to become an integral part of our team.

What problems will you solve?
Under the direction of the Director of Development you will be working, largely autonomously, to deliver software critical to the daily operations of the business. You will introduce automations at key points in the business workflow to increase operations efficiency. There will be a wide variety of opportunities, from data mining, all the way up to front-end presentation. You will also help frame our development and change management practices to create a world class development environment.
What are we looking for?
We are searching for someone who can take a new dataset, understand all of its components, derive business meeting. All the while, keeping in mind business objectives.
We are looking for experience in SAS, or with experience using another stack (Python, R, etc.) to analyze large datasets.
As a small development shop we are someone who has broad experience including some project management duties. Duties such as gathering requirements, clarifying user expectations, communicating with management and stake-holders, and recognizing opportunities for improvement.

Required Education and Experience
We expect this candidate to be able to self-learn and gather the right information to make informed decisions. APU will train the right candidate in the specific duties of the position, but the person must be able to take the initiative without being told what to do. A skills test will be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires 40 hours per week with some time outside of the normal hours.
No travel is expected for this position.
