The Kendo house of brands currently includes: Bite, Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Ole Henriksen and Fenty Beauty.

The Video Producer/Editor will be responsible for managing the production and post production of Kendo video shoots and edits.

Production Duties

  • Assist in brainstorming concepts for video campaigns with creative, brand management, marketing and digital, and education
  • Schedule video team kick-offs
  • Create production and post-production schedules and monitor progress for timely execution
  • Schedule meetings with business owners throughout production to discuss expectations, present concepts, and review final deliverables
  • Write video scripts or collaborate with copywriters to write video scripts
  • Coordinate talent acquisition, including negotiating usage fees with agents and managing agreements
  • Coordinate shoot preproduction activities such as schedules, securing locations, call sheets, and rehearsals
  • Source props, equipment, and product for video shoots, when needed
  • Assist DP in setting up basic lighting and equipment for shoots
  • Manage post-production of edit schedules
  • Coordinate and track edit feedback with project stakeholders
  • Initiate vendor paperwork (including NDAs, requests for new contracts, new vendor paperwork, advance requests, etc.)
  • Process, record and ensure accuracy of all invoices related to projects
  • Document and monitor usage for videographers, models, talent, and music
Post Production

  • Direct edit sessions with video editors:
  • Creates story flow to convey intended message
  • Make shoot recommendations
  • Make graphic recommendations
  • Select music
  • Design video graphics and CTA end cards in Photoshop
  • Deliver finished videos within specified timeframe and budget
  • Archive video edits and keep proper logs of footage
  • Has familiarity with Adobe Premiere. Is able to:
  • Lay shots in a timeline to create a rough cut
  • Create a basic assemble edit and add music and simple titles
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Must possess good organization, meeting management, time management, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to break down a script and create shot sheets
  • Macintosh Operating System, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Ability to make sound decisions, think strategically, focus on detail, problem solve, multi-task
  • High quality standards

  • Experience with video production in Beauty a plus
