We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Comic Book or Collectible Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for comics and/or collectibles, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to accurately price and grade comic books and/or collectibles. Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Provide outstanding customer service, offering assistance, recommendations, and information about our extensive inventory of products.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for comic book enthusiasts and new customers alike.
- Comic or Collectible Grading and Pricing:
- Accurately assess and grade comic books and/or collectibles like action figures, statues, Funko pops, and other collectibles based on industry standards.
- Determine fair market values for comics and/or collectibles, considering factors like condition, rarity, and market trends.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory of products.
- Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and collaborate with the team on ordering new products.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Actively promote and upsell store products, merchandise, and collectibles.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Market Knowledge:
- Stay informed about current trends in the comic book & collectible industry.
- Provide insights on market demands, helping to shape our product selection.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Comics or Collectibles:
- While the ideal candidate will possess knowledge in both areas, a deep love and knowledge of comic books across various genres and publishers OR pop culture collectibles is required.
- Customer Service Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored recommendations.
- Comic or Collectible Evaluation Expertise:
- Experience in accurately grading comic books based on industry standards
- OR experience and knowledge evaluation action figures, statues, Funko pops, and other collectibles for completeness and fair market value
- Sales Experience:
- Proven track record in sales, with an ability to meet or exceed targets.
- Organizational Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Team Player:
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a dynamic team.
- Able to lift and move items weighing 40 lbs frequently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and excellent reading comprehension.
