The Seminole Youth Home provides care for Tribal children ages 0 to 17 years old. We are looking for caring, professional staff to work 4 days a week. The schedule will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays overnight 8pm to 7am (clocking out Friday morning) plus one day shift 9am to 8pm on Saturdays. Note the Youth Home is located on the Big Cypress Reservation at 35195 Henry Osceola Rd, Clewiston, FL 33440. If you live more than 40 miles away, you may also qualify for a fuel stipend.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the direct care and supervision for all Youth Home residents. The incumbent will promote and follow all instructions to provide a safe environment to the youth admitted to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Youth Home. The individual provides daytime and overnight supervision, engages with all residents in activities, supports all residents to complete all daily and nightly living skills, and completes all daily and nightly operational/housekeeping functions.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Home Health Aid or similar field supervising and/or monitoring youth is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Availability and willingness to work a wide array of hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required by the position.
