Position Mission:
Caribou Coffee is looking for a social rockstar to support the Brand’s social media community. The Social Media Specialist is a creative at heart with a passion for building brand and growing loyalty through powerful social media content. He or she will have a passion for visual communication, and be quick to identify and adopt new social trends and new platform functionalities to increase Brand relevance and engagement. This role will be the point person for creating and executing custom, on-brand, social content (photos, videos, stories, animations, reposts, and copy) and publishing/reporting on results to senior colleagues in marketing. In addition, this position will provide needed creative support and moderation for defined social selling and social commerce requirements for the organization.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute on-brand visual content for Facebook, Facebook Stories, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other strategically relevant online properties, to reach the Brand’s target customer.
  • Monitor, listen and engage daily in relevant social discussions with our guests in Brand tone/voice during and outside of traditional workday.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Partner with Creative Manager and marketing team to ensure alignment with overall strategic marketing and product messages
  • Partner with Creative Manager to develop and execute a robust social content calendar to
grow followers and increase engagement within social channels

  • Partner with internal teams to maximize the value of our partnerships throughout the year via social channels
  • Analyze key metrics and adjust strategy as needed
  • Create & manage social scorecard to present results and ROI to Creative Manager, and broader organization, in an effort to maximize results.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content. Present point of view and test.
  • Maintain social shop catalogue
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Creative/Marketing/Communications/Media or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in social community management for a Brand.
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media levers, channels, and strategies.
  • Creative experience with design, photography and video production/editing.
Required Skills:
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media
  • Point of view on what style of content and tone resonates with target customers on each social platform.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong visual communicator, having a eye for styling/propping and designing/photographing in the essence of the Brand.
  • Customer-oriented with positive outlook when communicating directly with consumers, both to celebrate positives but also to mitigate negatives.
  • Planner. Organizer. Future-thinker. Ideally, you’re a one-step-ahead person.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, and make decisions.
  • Take direction and consistently follow through on multi-step projects/procedures.
  • Value precision and details.
  • Perform work in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must have flexible schedule – this is not a traditional desk job! Available at night and on the weekends as needed.
  • Must maintain confidential information, and adhere to company policies, programs and rules.
