Trellis is seeking a passionate and self-motivated full stack Senior Software Engineer. The applicant should possess a talent for developing across all areas of the application in a structured and systematic way. They will participate with a team that possesses extensive knowledge in system architecture, User Interface design and usability. The initial product to be developed is a workflow application with web front end exchanging JSON data via REST API calls to a back-end server.

The software that you help build will be implemented at health systems immediately. It will benefit patients with some of the most complex conditions and you will have a visible and direct impact on improving their day-to-day lives.

The role is Atlanta based, with possibly some light travel for on-site customer implementations.

You would be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing full stack software
  • Helping to define and document a style guide and development practices
  • Participating in the development of a continuous build architecture with constant iteration
  • Building high-quality production software
  • Participating in all parts of system development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Work on everything from databases, to backend, to UI, to analytics

We are excited to speak with someone who has:

  • 5+ years’ experience developing enterprise workflow software
  • Passion about startups and excited to contribute to developing the technical requirements of our company
  • A track-record as a self-starter who enjoys daily problem solving, and welcomes the opportunity to shape and execute ambiguous work streams as the situation demands
  • BS or MS in IT-related discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • JavaScript and a widely-used framework such as Angular, ReactJS, RiotJs, Polymer
  • Object-oriented programming languages
  • Skills in Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Participating in a continuous-build environment
  • Experience designing large-scale modules and/or systems

And bonus points if you have experience with a couple of these, too:

  • Exposure to Fast or Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka or Spark
