They serve many of the world’s most prestigious companies throughout North America and the Caribbean. We are specifically seeking a capable leader to lead and manage the organization’s internal bio-process practices group.

This would not only be functioning as a very competent technical professional in the role, but as a pivotal leader driving practice group development, serving in a subject matter expert/sales support role, and overseeing project and program engagements.

Ideally, someone that can be the face of the bioprocess engineering practice for the company to clientele as well as pharmaceutical engineering community.

Key components of the role include Practice Group Development (Staff Development/Management, Resources, Budgeting, etc.), Project Management and Sales Support and Community Facing/Outreach.

The position involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, acting as a discipline lead, and executing or overseeing execution of engagements. Because this is a growing internal practice group, the key will be a willingness to mentor and train more junior level staff.

Key for the role includes knowledge, experience or ability with:

Performing Material and Energy balance calculations
Performing General Engineering Calculations
Developing PFD’s and P&ID’s
Equipment Sizing Calculations and Specifications
Assisting with the development of project documentation
Experience in a cGMP Environment in the biotechnology industry
Experience with Single-use
Additionally, it would be an individual with excellent, verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Someone capable of publishing and presenting to clientele and within professional circles and at conferences.

The ideal individual would have 7-15+ years of project and management experience, industry technical credentials, and strong proactive problem resolution skills as well as client relationship management and sales support activities as a subject matter expert. Bachelor or advanced degrees in Chemical, Biomedical, Bio-Process, Mechanical or related field desired.

Key is the ability to conduct oneself in a manner that promotes a professional atmosphere and ensures interactions with both internal and external customers. So ideally, this would be an individual with both the interpersonal skills and the personality necessary to interact with a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders.
