Position is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of bills for all programs and departments; shall check, verify and match invoices and statements against purchase orders; input data into computer system; verify that all information is correct. Records check numbers and amounts in the daily bank files for all checks written, cancelled, or for which stop payments have been placed to ensure correct balances daily; cross-train for other duties within the department; and perform any additional duties as assigned. Must be able to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy; proficient in data entry and Microsoft Excel. Minimum requirements: High school diploma or GED; good working knowledge of accounting practices; 1 year work experience in Accounts Payable. Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration degree.
