High school graduation or equivalent
Two years of work experience in a library or equivalent setting performing duties comparable of a lower level OR
Bachelor Degree (120 semester credit hours) equals two years (24 months) for college course work in any field OR
Any combination of education and experience that totals two years
(Each position requires a background check.)
Experience with archival collections
Experience in working with government publications
Experience in training students and coordinating work schedules
Knowledge of work processing and database systems
Ability to learn computer software program related to digital collection management
Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 40 pounds
$15.70 per hour
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
(Hours may vary depending on departmental needs and may include weekends)
Under the direction of the Coordinator of the University Archives, the Library Specialist is responsible for assessing, processing, classifying, preserving, digitizing materials designated for archiving, and provides reference and retrieval of archived materials in accordance with national standards and library polices.
