Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treatments, and other nursing services as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor residents' conditions, assess their needs, and develop and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
- Perform routine nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy.
- Ensure residents' hygiene, comfort, and safety by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, following facility protocols and procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for each resident, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Document and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals and family members.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies regarding resident care and documentation.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and dietitians, to provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues.
- Participate in care conferences, staff meetings, and in-service training sessions as required.
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.86 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
