The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Red Hat Runtimes Practice Lead to join our Emerging Technologies team. In this role, you will be working to grow technical sales of the Red Hat Runtimes products in the North America (NA) commercial sales team. You will work closely with solutions architects, regional sales managers across NA, business development directors, product owners, consulting practice leads, the Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) and Field Enablement teams, and other teams to achieve goals. You’ll serve as the central point of contact to coordinate activities between these teams and solutions architects in the field. As a Red Hat Runtimes Practice Lead, you will help roll out sales plays, ensure enablement is available and completed, and collect feedback on issues with our offerings or services encountered by people who work with them daily. The Red Hat Runtimes offerings include Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Quarkus, SpringBoot, Node.js, Vert.x, Data Grid, and Serverless.
Primary job responsibilities:
Work with regional solutions architecture leadership, enablement, and sales management teams to set standards of solutions architecture knowledge about our offerings
Work with regional and emerging technologies sales and solutions architecture leadership to establish quarterly goals and plans to achieve subscription sales of runtimes offerings
Collaborate with enablement, product, and services teams to develop and carry out training programs, workshops, presentations of our offerings, and other sales-related materials
Participate in product development meetings and provide feedback to engineering, services, and product team leaders
Ensure that important announcements for our offerings and services are delivered to members of the sales and solutions architecture teams and that collected field feedback is delivered back to other teams
Establish regular video conference meetings with regional Red Hat Middleware solutions architects and other relevant members to ensure cross-regional collaboration and information sharing
Contribute to Red Hat Runtimes-related subject matter expert teams
Maintain an internal document library of content to provide a centralized hub for field associates, including links and linkbacks to content of other teams
Help with organizing solutions architecture-specific events
Deep understanding of the Red Hat Runtimes space, including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Quarkus, Spring Boot, Node.js, Eclipse Vert.x, Data Grid, and Serverless
3+ years of experience working as a sales engineer or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts, or 5+ years of experience working in operations roles like system architecture or senior system engineer
3+ years of experience working with application development
Practical experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Istio service mesh
Practical experience with Java development technologies like Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE technologies like Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Oracle WebLogic Server, or IBM WebSphere Application Server
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable giving presentations and speaking in front of an audience
Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience with diagram tools like Dia, Vizio, or Lucidchart
Willingness to travel up to 50%
