Responsibilities and Duties

Grill Cooks:

  • Prepare Grill products quickly and accurately in adherence to company standards and procedures (one flip for burgers, proper temperature)
  • Spot-check product temperature (165°F (74°C) for burgers, etc.)
  • Use proper tools (gloves, tongs, scales, boost pans, spoons, calibrated thermometer, etc.)
  • Clean as you go
  • Ensure orders are made in the correct sequence
  • Cook according to all health and safety standards (avoid cross-contamination–raw vs. cooked meat)
  • Remove product with expired hold times and record on waste sheet
  • Anticipate and react to volume changes

Fry Cooks:

  • Prepare fried products in adherence to company standards and procedures quickly and accurately (use timers, portion size, scales, properly salt)
  • Spot-check product temperature (chicken, chili, cheese, gravy, etc.)
  • Use proper tools (gloves, tongs, fry scoops, calibrated thermometer, etc.)
  • Place cooked products in holding unit following FIFO procedures and set timers
  • Clean as you go
  • Ensure orders are made in the correct sequence
  • Cook according to all health and safety standards (avoid cross-contamination–use appropriate fryer for designated products)
  • Remove product with expired hold times and record as waste
  • React to and change cooking process as volume changes

Cashiers/Treat Assemblers:

  • Great all customers
  • Take and repeat orders on register accurately.
  • Take Payments
  • Manage chill area
  • Read monitor and delegate orders to chill crew
  • Prioritize treat assembly process based on complexity of orders
  • Anticipate and react to changes in volume
  • Communicate where products should be delivered
  • Check product quality (weight, build, appearance)
  • Monitor and maintain stock and cleanliness
  • Emphasize speed of service–maintain the customer experience

Qualifications and Skills

Knowledge: (Level of knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)

  • Some knowledge of the organization and its functions.
  • Some knowledge of working practices, procedures and techniques.

Education: (Minimum formal education the job requires.)

  • High school diploma/GED, equivalent work experience, or is attending high school, or educational equivalent, e.g., home school or primary vocational programs.

Physical: (Minimum physical requirement to perform the job effectively.)

  • Must be able to manually lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, and carry.
  • Ability to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.).
  • Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, dairy products and produce items.
  • Frequent washing of hands.

Other:

  • Team Member and Management will mutually agree on their availability based on needs of the restaurant.
  • Working conditions exist to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities.
