As an Independent sporting lifestyle retailer we are seeking a rockstar VP of Retail to grow our Boston Outfitters, driving sales and operational efficiency, all while carefully focusing on each detail to deliver the most impactful and positive customer experience. We are looking for someone who absolutely loves working in a retail store environment, and is willing to be personally invested in the success of our Boston flagship store. This position is a highly individual and self starting role, to provide someone who has a strong foundation in sales and retail, the ability to break out on their own and deliver a phenomenal experience.

This position is based in Boston, MA and will require relocation.

Responsibilities:
Must be willing to relocate to Boston, MA
Lead and run all sales operations for the company
Build monthly sales plan and ensure company achieves sales goals
Run all operational elements of the retail store and barbershop ensuring high levels of organization and cleanliness

Recruit, inspire, train and coach our team and barbers

Operate under company budget by first preparing an annual budget then controlling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when needed

Ensure healthy assortment and stock merchandise and services by maintaining inventories and requesting replenishment

Report on store performance by studying floor set, promotions, and display plans

Create and provide associate specific sales plans, and hold weekly associate recaps to determine how to increase performance
Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures

Enforce and follow all company policies, procedures, guidelines and programs

Give consistent feedback and conduct regular Performance Evaluations per company guidelines

Analyze, prepare, and present performance reports to manager
Act as collaborative "glue" between office team and store team promoting a positive relationship

Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years Retail Management experience

Ability to manage through and deliver success in a changing environment with multiple unknowns

Extreme organization and attention to detail to deliver an unparalleled retail environment
Strong track record of proven sales success both individually and as a team

Ability to manage 10+ passionate and opinionated team members
Proficient in planning and managing operational and marketing projects

Proven experience in multi-tasking and organization

Strong ability to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and associates

Can-do, high energy attitude
Ability to travel as needed
Interest in the outdoors and sporting lifestyle is a plus
