Summer interns at Power Business Unit of Analog Devices would have the opportunity to work on circuit design, simulation, verification, circuit modeling, board level circuit work, testing, circuit applications, and lab work. The intern will typically work with one or two direct mentors from the design engineer community.
One example of a Summer internship assignment is the design and implementation of a new and unique DC/DC converter prototype that uses TLVR (trans inductor voltage regulator) technology. This prototype will be used to investigate this TLVR architecture using existing ADI buck regulators. The intern tasks will include board design of a multiphase buck regulators with new TLVR components and designing test circuits to evaluate the architecture performance such as transient response, efficiency, size and thermal trade off. Simulation tools such as LTSPICE, SIMPLIS and others will be used to aid in the various design tasks and analysis.
