The Marketing Automation Architect leads the marketing automation part of cross-platform projects and/or owns the entire engagement in those instances where the project is a standalone initiative.
They support hybrid delivery projects (onshore/ offshore teams), in collaboration with project managers, BAs and technical leads. Additional duties include managing development of proprietary digital marketing solutions developed by TechAspect.
The ideal candidate has a combination of development, configuration, marketing business analysis and project management experience. Reports to Digital Marketing Director.
Create marketing automation implementation plans (sales and marketing alignment, lead-to-revenue strategies, database requirements, automation configuration and functional mapping of integrations).
As a member of a cross-functional team, oversee and execute marketing automation audits, implementations, integrations and rebuilds.
Conduct business process review meetings and define technical/functional requirements for marketing automation.
Develop functional expectations and business architecture, in collaboration with the digital marketing practice leader and digital strategists. Write marketing automation user stories and lead story refinement till final approval.
Design ABM programs, content personalization programs,
Support integrations, proof-of-concept (POC) development or new product development for the Digital Marketing Practice’s Innovation products/ services.
Collaborate with practice leadership to enhance the company’s profile with major software partners, as a personal contributor within their communities, custom content development, etc.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise for new Marketing Automation platforms within the practice, as directed by senior management. After becoming a SME, provide training and expertise to junior resources in the practice.
Support hybrid development efforts through daily, joint delivery with offshore teams.
Manage client relationships, in collaboration with project and practice managers.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – will consider 3 years of experience inlueof 1 year of college
5+ years of IT systems with 2+ years with Marketo experience. Additional platforms of interest include: Adobe Campaign, Oracle Marketing Cloud (Eloqua), or Salesforce.com Pardot
Experience with delivery of marketing automation projects, especially implementations and integrations (CRM, CMS).
Experience with audits or application support also valuable.
Experience in digital marketing agencies or marketing technology service managed service providers.
Experience gathering marketing/technical requirements for client implementations.
Knowledge of lead generation and lead nurture, sales/marketing alignment and ABM.
Ability to manage and prioritize several high-speed, high-volume, complex digital projects, gather requirements from technical staff and ensure adherence to QA standards before delivery to client.
Knowledge of project management tools.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and diplomatic, supportive attitude toward clients.
Experience with professional status reports, minutes, statistical tracking tools, etc.
Experience handling projects with min. 5-10 members.
CRM development for Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics.
Sales support activities such as labor estimates, presentations and needs discovery.
