Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
This position is responsible for processing order requests and following the life-cycle of the order throughout the order fulfillment process. This position makes it significantly easier to conduct business with Mettler Toledo by working effectively with various other departments to provide world class service to our customers, both internal and external. The key responsibilities include:
Review of commercial quotes and contracts for compliance with terms and conditions of sale
Work with key stakeholders to develop full-scale project plans and schedule project timelines and milestones
Manage interaction with third party suppliers/contractors in regard to obtaining quotes, coordinating purchase and ensuring timely receipt of items or completion of work
Responsible for invoicing per project milestones and assisting with collections as needed
Assists with coordination of service installation, start-up, calibration and training
Proactively manage changes in projects, identify potential issues and work with Sales and Service personnel to devise contingency plans
Manage inbound inquires for price, availability and order status
Ensure all orders and order change requests are received and processed in an accurate and timely manner while following department policies and procedures
Determine accurate ship and delivery dates based on system-generated commitment dates, available inventory, sales forecasting, product lead-time, carrier routing calculations, and customer delivery and method of shipping requests for all items ordered.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure delivery commitment dates are achieved
Proactively analyze and follow up on unshipped customer orders to ensure delivery commitments are attained and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Build quality, long-lasting business relationships with customers, sales, supply chain, finance, quality assurance, and administrative support departments/personnel.
Ensure order management reports are reviewed daily and proper action is taken to resolve order issues.
Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our CRM, sales, and service databases at every practical opportunity
Work with Shared Services teams to resolve invoice pricing discrepancies due to incorrect pricing, discounts, freight charges, etc. authorizing and processing the appropriate customer credits.
What You Need to Succeed
A Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience working in a customer service role
5+ years experience working with supply chain, logistics and order management process/systems, preferred.
Bilingual in English and French is a plus
High degree of imitative and ownership
Attention to detail for both accuracy and content
Ability to work independently to resolve problems on orders
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. SAP knowledge is desired.
