Shop LC is a 24/7 TV shopping channel with close to 500 employees. We are headquartered in Austin, TX, for the US market airing nationwide over 72 million homes via various satellite and cable networks, including live broadcast via www.shoplc.com. We offer fine jewelry and fashion products, many which are produced in our own factories in Asia, Africa, and India.

We have a sister channel in London called The Jewellery Channel (TJC) with over 180 employees. We also have locations in China with over 300 employees, Indonesia and Thailand! Our main headquarters globally is at our parent company VGL Group (Vaibhav Global) in Jaipur, India with over 3,000 employees.

We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented VP of Direct Response who will be responsible for all aspects of the strategy and lifecycle management of products and media to drive and support sales in this channel and into retail channels outside Shop LC. This position plays an important role in shaping how individuals experience the Shop LC brand across a variety of audience acquisition and retention activities.

Reporting directly to the President of the company, this role will work closely with other development department heads in establishing the strategies to grow audiences and build lifelong relationships via multi-channel, data-driven marketing initiatives. A senior leader within the organization, the Sr. Director of Direct Response will have direct oversight over the general market audience portfolio and channel marketing activities (including DRTV, Direct Mail, Telemarketing, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Digital, etc.). The Sr. Director will work to integrate content and campaigns across audiences. In addition to overseeing the tactics and channels to grow audiences, the Sr. Director will also serve as the organization’s advocate representing the infomercial business for the organization.

What you'll be doing in your day to day:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a wide range of integrated marketing initiatives through strategy, design, execution and measurement
  • Direct strategy for all general market acquisition and retention activities
  • Develop new programs and enhancements to existing programs through advanced integrated marketing and segmentation strategies.
  • Direct a team responsible for delivering excellent brand experiences designed to maximize return on investment and return on constituent relationship
  • Responsible for driving consistent and sustainable income and customer growth
  • Develop marketing budgets and ensure programs and projects remain on budget
  • Maintain program reporting and consistent analyzation of results to ensure optimal performance
  • Increase awareness of and affinity for the Shop LC brand for key identified audiences
  • Provide leadership and manage staff and multiple relationships with outside vendors
  • Monitor and improve processes and results to optimize program performance to continuously improve customer acquisition
  • Partner with other fundraising leadership team members to develop and implement strategies to enhance customer touchpoints to the Shop LC Brand

How you'll qualify for this role:

  • 8+ years of experience in Direct Response with proven, measurable success in integrated marketing and product development activities
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role (Director, Sr. Director, VP) with strategic planning, marketing plan development, budgeting and analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building and performance management skills
  • Must be a strategic thinker, collaborator, and persuasive influencer
  • Exceptional organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal skills needed to manage and integrate internal and external work teams, vendors and partners
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding the product development, media and marketing industries and resulting impact on business
  • Must be a thoughtful, inclusive communicator, able to connect with, manage and mentor a diverse team
  • Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines, and carefully considering revenue implications
  • Must be a driven, self-starter, able to exercise independent judgment
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time, as needed
