American Consumer Shows (ACS) is the premier event management company in the home improvement, bridal, and flower & garden industries. We are seeking an experienced Administrative Professional to support the daily functions of our Floor Plan Management Department. Individual must be friendly, positive and articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be conscientious, highly organized, able to work independently and as a team player, be computer literate, have excellent research and follow up skills, and very strong attention to detail. We require experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, as well as the ability to learn and utilize in-house industry specific software applications.

Individual must work with a sense of urgency and be results-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment that is focused on growth.

This is a great career opportunity with responsibilities including the following:

  • All phases of floor plan administration: from opening a show, to priority registration, to printing show site floor plans, maintaining notes in spreadsheet files, etc...
  • Daily use of Expocad, ACT, QB and the internet as it pertains to floor plan duties
  • Database analytics and query development
  • Maintain category master files and groups, website data updating
  • On-site operations: point person, conflict resolution
  • Oversee on-site exhibitors, vendors & all show related services
  • Perform audits of events inclusive of exhibitors', booth space, competitive guidelines, and overall floor plan requirements
  • Facilitate event floor plan logistical details to both internal and external clients (sales representatives, management, service providers)
  • Process contracts, rent, un-rent, combine, un-combine, XL, PXL, etc...
  • Plus other functions and administrative tasks as directed by the Director of Floor Plan Development

Skills/Qualifications: This position requires a very focused individual who enjoys computer work and solving puzzles. Knowledge of CAD (autocad or expocad) is helpful. Two years of related office experience in a support role is preferred. You must be upbeat, adaptable, extremely organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and possess superior computer skills. Excellent communication skills are required.
