Develop strategic plans, identify, evaluate, and prioritize new strategic partnerships (with focus on Asia/Pacific region), and ensure strong relationships with all existing partnerships and alliances in support of the Digital Research Network (DRN)
Develop business cases and communications for use in strategic partner development and management discussions.
Implement DRN’s global business plan to achieve annual sales/revenue target.
Identify key growth areas and evaluate and pursue potential licensing and acquisition opportunities. Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials
Establish and cultivate relationships with the pharma community, associations and key opinion leaders to support business development efforts
Provide industry insights to DRN to facilitate management in developing/improving pharma strategy
Facilitate management briefings on business development opportunities.
Assist in presenting proposals to clients and prospective clients
Integrate activities of functional groups across multiple projects.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, in business, life sciences from an accredited college or university
7+ years’ experience in a business development role within the pharmaceutical industry
Energetic, self-starter with strong executive presence
Working knowledge of pharma/biotech industry issues, trends, and their business impact.
Possess a strong network of business development contacts
Comfortable managing all aspects of business development
Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills required
Demonstration of sustained, high performance in current and past positions
Able to work both collaboratively on teams as well as independently as appropriate.
Possesses an understanding of, and direct experience modeling, discounted cash flow, net present value, internal rates of return and risk analysis techniques.
Able to effectively guide preparation of sales forecasts, P&Ls, risk analysis and company valuations.
Able to integrate scientific knowledge into the business model.
Understanding of the drug development process.
Consistently delivers on commitments in a timely manner.
Understanding of the Asia/Pacific work culture
Ability to travel internationally
